Product Overview
The Plastic Mould Multi Station Thermoforming Cake Base Mould is developed for manufacturing plastic cake bases and bakery support trays. HXW Mold customizes the tooling according to the base outline, support surface, reinforcing details, sheet material and available machine forming area.
Aluminum mould components are CNC-machined to reproduce the specified base profile and rim geometry. For compatible multi-station equipment, we can provide forming, cutting and stacking tooling with coordinated cavity layouts and installation interfaces.

Cake base tooling needs to reproduce a consistent support profile while maintaining the specified rim and stacking features. Our engineering review coordinates the forming geometry, material distribution, cooling and cutting layout across the production line.

Support Profile & Reinforcing Details
The cake support area, ribs and edge transitions are evaluated against the product drawing and sheet thickness. Cavity geometry and forming paths are developed to reproduce these features consistently.

Cooling & Base Shape Control
Cooling passages are configured around the cavity structure to support repeatable forming conditions. The design considers the base profile and release requirements during continuous production.

Rim Forming & Cutting Coordination
The moulded perimeter and cavity positions are matched to the cutting layout. Where a cover is required, the base rim is reviewed against the specified lid interface.

Stacking & Station Interfaces
Nesting geometry and pick-up requirements are assessed together with the forming, cutting and stacking station interfaces to suit the customer's thermoforming line.

Can you customize the shape and support features of the cake base?
Yes. Please send a drawing or sample showing the overall dimensions, support surface, ribs and rim profile. We will evaluate the design against the sheet material and machine forming area.
Can the base be designed to match our existing cake cover?
Yes. Provide the cover sample or drawing together with the base requirements. The mating rim, closure dimensions and required fit can then be reviewed during mould design.
Do you supply tooling for all three production stations?
Yes. We can develop the forming mould, cutting die and stacking tooling for compatible three-station thermoforming machines, with the scope confirmed from your production line specifications.
How do you verify the cake base mould before shipment?
We inspect the machined parts and assembled tooling, then conduct an in-house forming trial. Trial videos and formed samples can be provided to review the base shape and production results.
What is the lead time for a multi-station cake base mould?
The typical lead time is 35–45 working days after receipt of the deposit and approval of the final drawing. The confirmed schedule depends on the cavity layout, mould complexity and tooling scope.
