Product Overview
HXW Mold develops custom durable vacuum forming molds for bakery containers and trays used in food service, retail display and storage packaging. The tooling is designed around the bakery product size, tray arrangement, forming depth and sheet material, with cavity layouts tailored to the customer's production equipment.
CNC-machined aluminum mold components reproduce the required pockets, support ribs and container rims. Depending on the machine configuration, matching cutting and stacking tooling can be developed together to support continuous bakery packaging production.
Engineering Focus
Bakery packaging requires properly formed support areas, suitable product clearance and consistent container edges. Mold development coordinates vacuum forming, cooling, trimming and nesting to meet the intended package design and production requirements.

Bakery Layout & Product Support
Tray pockets, base profiles and reinforcing ribs are designed around the size and arrangement of cakes, pastries or other bakery products. Draft angles and corner transitions are reviewed for forming and product release.

Vacuum Paths & Cooling Layout
Vacuum passages and cooling channels are planned according to cavity depth and sheet characteristics. Plug assistance can be evaluated where needed to improve material distribution in deeper container sections.

Container Rims & Cutting Accuracy
Rim geometry and cutting references are coordinated with the forming layout. For containers requiring a separate lid, the mating dimensions are reviewed against the supplied lid drawing or sample.

Nesting & Tooling Maintenance
Stacking features and release clearances are evaluated for handling empty trays. Mold mounting, utility connections and access to serviceable components are considered for installation and routine maintenance.

Can you customize trays for different bakery products?
Yes. Please provide the bakery product dimensions and container drawing or sample. We can evaluate individual pockets, multiple compartments, support ribs and the required clearance around each product.
Can the container mold be designed to match an existing lid?
Yes. Send the lid drawing or a physical sample together with the required closure details. We will review the rim profile and mating dimensions when developing the container tooling.
Can you provide tooling for forming, cutting and stacking?
Yes. For compatible production equipment, we can develop the forming mold, matching cutting tooling and stacking components together. The configuration is confirmed according to your machine and tray handling requirements.
How is the bakery container mold checked before shipment?
The tooling undergoes drawing review, dimensional inspection and assembly checks. An in-house forming trial can be carried out to evaluate the tray shape, trimming and nesting, with trial videos and formed samples available for approval.
What is the lead time for custom bakery tray tooling?
Typical production takes 35–45 working days after receipt of the deposit and approval of the final mold drawing. The confirmed delivery schedule depends on the cavity layout, product complexity and tooling scope.
