Each mold is engineered around the required container design, sheet material, machine forming area, and production output. Forming, cutting, and stacking tooling can be supplied as a complete three-station solution.

Lunch box tooling requires coordinated control of closure fit, hinge performance, compartment geometry, flange sealing, wall-thickness distribution, and stacking behavior.

Closure and Hinge Performance
For hinged lunch boxes, the closure fit and hinge are engineered together to provide smooth opening, secure closing, and consistent performance.

Each compartment is engineered to match the required product layout, volume distribution, and food-separation requirements.

Flange and Sealing Design
Depending on the packaging design, a flat flange can be developed for film sealing or for use with a matching lid.

The stacking geometry is designed for stable nesting, reliable separation, and smooth automated handling. Trial samples can be provided for approval.

What types of lunch box molds can you manufacture?
We manufacture thermoforming molds for single-compartment and multi-compartment trays, hinged takeaway boxes, and lunch boxes with separate bases and lids. The product shape, rim, reinforcing ribs, compartment layout, and stacking method can all be customized from your drawings or physical samples.
Can you design lunch box molds for different sheet materials?
Yes. We design lunch box molds for common thermoforming materials, including PP, PET, and PS. Material shrinkage, mold structure, the vacuum or pressure system, plug-assist design, and cooling layout are adjusted to suit the selected material, sheet thickness, and product depth.
How do you improve wall-thickness distribution in deep or multi-compartment lunch boxes?
We optimize the cavity layout, draft angles, plug-assist geometry, forming-air and vacuum distribution, and cooling channels to improve material distribution across the base, corners, divider walls, and sidewalls. Before shipment, the mold can also be tested in-house using the agreed material and sheet thickness.
Can the molds be customized for our existing three-station thermoforming machine?
Yes. We customize forming molds, cutting molds, and stacking tooling to match your machine's forming area, mounting dimensions, stroke, forming direction, water and air connections, cutting method, and stacking interface. Please provide the machine drawings or existing mold drawings so that we can verify all interfaces.
